Lillyhall holsteins have 2 very different and very interesting lots selling.

The first and selling as Lot 11- LILLYHALL CONTENDER LILA RED a November 2011 Patience Showline Contender (only has 4 daughters in the UK) from the family that gave us the Lylehaven Lila Z EX94 8*. Our calf is out of an 86 point first calver Advent which out of the EX92-3E Formation daughter Lylehaven Lori Anne EX92-3E a full sister to Lylehaven Form Laura EX92-2E (dam of Lila Z). Lori Anne produced a life time yeild of 82,025kg at 4.6F 3.3P in 2104 days.

The second and selling as lot 24 - LILLYHALL ASTEROID TOPSY a May 2011 Kingsmill Gdwyn Asteroid (the only calf in the UK by Asteroid). Asteroid is a Goldwyn out of Tri-day Ashlyn he has a UK type of 2.19 and his daughters are winning calf classes throughtout the US. Topsys dam Kingsmill Roy Topsy VG89 has components that any breeder would want producing 5.4% fat while giving 10768kg of milk in her heifer lactation. The grandam Ernest Anthony Topaz EX93 sold for $14,000 at the Kingsmill dispersal 2011, the next dam is no other than Ernest-Anthony SD Tobi EX96 - Reserve Grand Champion Royal 2001, All Canadian 5yr & Reserve All-American 5yr. A great family.

Black & Whites 2011

On Saturday 3rd December Lillyhall Holstein have 4 heifers from top class families entered in the 25th Black & Whites Sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle.

First of the consignment is Lillyhall Niagra Bria, she sells with contract interest from Cogent, Diamond Genetics and Genus. Her GTPI is +2085 and PTAT +2.72 add to that her full brother being at Genus and her Superstition sister topping the Northern Lights sale at 10,500gns she is a very interesting prospect.

Selling back to back will be Lillyhall Atwood Calina and Lillyhall Superstition Stylish, both born in July these young calves are to be watched. Calina has 6 generations of VG & EX dams behind her and her dam is sister to the bull Calypso at Alta genetics. Stylish lives up to her name and is one for the show ring next year, this sleek heifer goes back to the Swampy Hollow Elevation Sweet family. What makes her even more unique is she is an outcross from Oman, Goldwyn and Shottle.

Last of our consignment is the September born Lillyhall Demollo Ruffle Red. Her dam is a Lichtblick out of Henkeseen Ripple Red ( Reserve Grand Champion, Grand International R&W Junior Show 2008) and her sire is a red carrier Shottle out of the one and only Scientific Debutante Rae. Is this the golden cross?

Northern Lights Sale 2011

On 20th September 2011 at Beeston Auction the 2nd Northern Lights will be held. We have 5 heifers consigned that will suit all tastes.

Lillyhall Golden Elegant is a December 2010 Goldwyn out of GBM Best Elegant EX92, Golden Elegant carries a GTPI +1968 PTAT +2.81 (05/11). She is a full sister to last years top price Lillyhall Goldwyn Elegant that sold to the Chorlton herd for 7,500gns.

Lillyhall Oman Calina was also born in December 2010, she is a Man O Man out of Nor-Bert Morty Calina VG87. Nor-Bert Morty Calina already has a daughter by Allan that has scored EX90 and sons going into AI.

Lillyhall Apple Mira Red, born in April Mira is by Big Apple Red and out of Derrwyn Tribute Mira VG85 2yr. Apple Mira's full sister was sold in June and went on to win the calf Championship at the Royal Highland show. Tribute Mira is maternal sister to the All-American Derrwyn Miss Special EX94.

Lillyhall Superstition Bria & Lillyhall Spearmint Bria are both high genomic daughters of Ms Goldwyn Bria VG86 2y. Superstition Bria has a GTPI +2188 PTAT +3.27, Spearmint Bria's GTPI +2019 PTAT +2.51. Goldwyn Bria was 1st prize North Carolina production competition producing 15712kg in 305 days (18221kg in 365 days) this is a state record for a heifer.

Overside Mr Sam Bonita VG89 x Windbrook- Backed by 5 generations of excellent cows, Bonita was Reserve Champion Western Spring Show 2010. Fresh with her 3 calf she is doing 60kg.

Lillyhall Sanchez Bonita x Lauthority & Sid- Flushed as a maiden after winning Calf Champion at The Northern Expo 2010, Bonita is a Sanchez out of Mr Sam Bonita.

AP Bolton Elisa VG89 2yr x Jordan- Elisa is maternal sister to the extremely popular sire FG Snowman. Elisa has 20 milking sisters 19 are VG 2yr.

Texel Beauty Butterfly VG86 2yr x Super & Niagra- Butterfly's Superstition son has sold to Semex after genomic testing.

Bouw Goldwyn Femmy VG86 2yr x FG Snowman- Femmy's GTPI is +2008. Femmy is from the Juror Faith family, one of the most popular families in the world.

Ladygaga x Parocas- Ladygaga is a Toystory maiden heifer out of a VG86 O-man from a high genomic family. Parocas has a TPI of +1975 & PTAT +2.39.

Henkeseen Sugar Red VG85 2yr x Secure- Sugar is the 8^th generation VG or EX from the Citation Roxy family. She is by Lichtblick Red and out of an EX91 Rubens.

Regancrest Shottle Ilsa VG87 x Domain- Ilsa is maternal sister to Alta Iota #6 TPI bull 04/11 at +2159. Ilsa has an Onward son on sample in France and a daughter +189 above PA.

Ms Rock-Home Gold Roxete EX90 x Shamrock- Roxete is a Goldwyn from the Bstar E Raven family and is the 5^th generation Excellent. Roxete's Man-O-Man daughter sold for $17,200 Sale of Stars 2010.

Henkeseen Lic Ruffle VG88 x Demollo- Ruffle was 1^st Snr 2yr WI District Show 2009 & 1^st Snr 2yr Midwest Spring R & W Junior Show 2009. Ruffle is a daughter of Henkeseen Ripple EX91 Reserve Grand Champion Grand International R & W Junior Show 2008. Demollo is a Shottle out of Scientific Debutante Rea.

Speek-NJ Shtl Numero Uno VG85 2yr x Guthrie- Numero Uno will classify again as a 2yr, her AltaRoss son is going into AI. Lillyhall Shottle Elegant 2 is a full sister to Numero Uno and sold for 7,300gns Black & Whites 2010 having won 1^st February Calf & Reserve Champion Border & Lakeland Calf show 2010 .

4 exciting new families for sale at the Genetic Elite.

First, lot 40 bred from 8 generations of VG & EX dams by Big Apple and out of Derrwyn Tribute Mira VG85, we sell there December 2011 born heifer Lillyhall Miss Special Red. Tribute Mira is maternal sister to Derrwyn Miss Special EX94, 4 x All-American and Global R & W cow of the year.

Second lot 49 Lillyhall Oman Calico, she sells with contract interest from Cogent and Diamond Genetics. In the May 11 genomic run she has a GTPI +1961 with a type of 2.5. Calico is out of the highly sought after Nor-bert Morty Calina VG87 DOM. Calico is a very stylish calf

Third lot 57 a really showy heifer and possibly the first Niagra to hit the UK sale ring Lillyhall Niagra Bria. Bria sells with Diamond Genetics contract and all 4 of her brothers are being tested for AI. She comes from 12 generations VG & EX of the famous Luke Bandit, her Goldwyn dam won 1st North Carolina Milk, setting a new state record for a heifer giving 15712kg 3.91 fat and 3.1 protein.

Following straight on will be our fourth and final calf Lillyhall Redliner Jenea Red. Jenea is a flashy show calf, who's dam sold for $20,000 having won Honorable Mention All American R & W Summer Yearling. Advent Jenea is a huge milk producer winning 1st North Carolina Protein & 2nd North Carolina Fat in her second lactation.

Another high selling Elegance

On Saturday at the Black & Whites the Elegant family again caused a still selling at 7300gns. Lillyhall Shottle Elegant 2 has crossed the Border to M/s Jamesons, Annan herd. She was Reserve Champion at Border & Lakelands calf show this year and being April born means she qualifies for next years shows.

Second of our consignment was Lillyhall Advent Brilliance, she joins Kevin Hays, Hays herd at Calthwaite, Penrith for 3400gns. She was the first to sell from the Brilliance red family in the UK.

Finally Lillyhall Golden Mist sold at 3800gns to another local breeder Richard Martin of Orton Grange, Carlisle. From the showy Croagh Susie Mists in Ireland, Golden Mist is out of the VG87 2yr Rowantree Duplex Suzie Mist.

Northern Dairy Expo

The Northern Dairy Expo Champion calf title was won by Lillyhall Sanchez Bonita. Following on from her 1st prize at the Border & Lakeland Calf show Bonita took 1st prize in a strong class of Intermediate calf's and then went on to secure the Championship. Born August 2009 she is by Gen-Mark Stormatic Sanchez and out of the 89 point Overside Mr Sam Bonita who in her 2nd lactation gave 13,606kgs @ 4.53%BF in 305days. All-Britain Calf Show

Lillyhall Holsteins had a very successful trip to the All-Breeds All-Britain Calf Show 2010. The Elegant family continued there success this time in the show ring with Lillyhall Shottle Elegant 2 being placed 10th in the " Calf born on or after 1st February 2010" class. Later in the day Lillyhall Alison was placed 4th in a very strong line up of June - July born heifers.

Black & White sale 2010

Lillyhall have 3 stunning calves entered for the Borderway Black & White Sale to be held at Carlisle on Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th December.

First of our consignment through the ring will be Lillyhall Shottle Elegant 2. This April born calf was 1st prize February calf and Reserve Champion Border & Lakeland Calf Show, her maternal sister sold for 7,500gns Northern Lights 2010. She is also maternal sister to Mor-yet Goldwyn 682 EX90, the number 15 GTPI Cow in the Breed.

Next will be a first for the UK Lillyhall Advent Brilliance Red. Her dam is maternal sister to the proven sire Westport Bookman, and has 8 other brothers in AI studs across the world awaiting their first proof. Her grandam is a 9* Brood cow, has gained 3 Superior production awards and was 3rd Global Red Cow of the Year 2008.

Last but not least will be a sweet June born calf Lillyhall Golden Mist. Her dam sold for 4,000gns (12 week old) Black & Whites 2006, she went on to gain a Superior Production award after producing 10963 kg at 4.09 fat in her heifer lactation. Stemming from the famous Croagh Susie Mists her 3rd dam Croagh Susie Mist 2 EX94-3E was part of the Irish team that stormed Agribex Brussels 2004 where she was 3rd Snr Cow.

Lillyhall At the Northern Lights

Lillyhall Golwyn Elegant sold for 7,500gns (top price live lot) at the Northern Lights sale, she goes to the Chorlton herd of Mr J Lomax.

Lillyhall Shottle Elegant followed her sister through the ring, selling for 3,000gns she will be crossing the water to Northern Ireland, joining Mr M Truesdale's Karmadale herd .

Lillyhall Silky Edna finished off our consignment selling for 2,400gns she will be joining Mr R Browns, Bidlea herd.

Goldwyn and Shottle heifers from the high CTPI cow GBM Best Elegant EX92 4yr anda showy Silky Gibson heifer from Smiddiehill Blackstar Edna VG87.

GBM Best Elegant already has her first 4 milking daughters by 3 different sires classified VG 2yr with Mor-Yet Goldwyn 682 now classified EX90.

Smiddiehill Blackstar Edna VG87 is the 9 successive generation Very Good or Excellent.

Northern Lights update

Mor-yet Goldwyn 682 EX90 (full sister to lot 66 and maternal sister to Lot 67) is listed as #14 GTPI cow at 2179 (# 4 Goldwyn) and carries a PTAT of 3.48. Goldwyn 682 is also 1 of only 16 genomic tested cows to be classified Excellent.

Calving time

Its been an exciting couple of months with the heifers being born from red and high CTPI cow familys.

In April 2 Shottle and a Goldwyn heifer was born, these are out of GBM Best Elegant EX92. Elegant herself has a high CTPI but her Shottle sisters are shining at +2290 and +2253 as VG 2 year olds.

Also born were 2 Silky Gibson heifers from Smiddiehill Blackstar Edna VG87 she is the 7th consecutive cow to go VG or EX.

In May we had a fantastic red Advent born Lillyhall Advent Brilliance. She is out of West-Port Paradox Breanne VG88 which is maternal sister to Semex's hot red sire West-Port Bookman.

To cap off our Summers calving we got a Goldwyn heifer from Rowantree Duplex Susie Mist VG87 2yr. Susie Mist gained a Superior production award in her heifer lactation after doing 10963kg at 4.09 fat 3.02 protein.
